Worship of the sea has been a longstanding tradition of seafarers in the south of Vietnam. It’s a sacred belief to some that whales are the keepers of the sea, the guardians of sailors and fisherman alike. Visitors are invited to sit back and cast a lure, or enjoy a deliciously fresh seafood dish at this unique coastal celebration. The festival takes place annually in Tra Vinh.
